Mes Yeux

Helps visually impaired people avoid indoors obstacles.

Mes Yeux (“My Eyes”) application aims to help partially-sighted people move along the hallways. Although it cannot replace the usual accessories, like a white cane, this app informs the user about the presence of obstacles on their way. All you need to do is hold the smartphone in your hand so that the camera faces the direction you’re moving in. It is always possible to use the app hands-free by hanging the phone around the neck (screen resting on your chest).

While a visually impaired person is moving, computer-generated voice informs them about the location and the colour of detected objects on their way. Once the user stops, the detection is disabled.

ESL Reader

Your shopping partner.

While in a store, find clients’ reviews on a product (mobile, fixed phone, accessory or connected object) in no time, check product’s availability in Orange stores nearby and discover current offers. ESL Reader doesn’t only work in Orange stores. In its latest version, the app can detect – basing on the barcode scan – fixed phones, accesories, IoT objects and certain mobile phones (Apple, Sony, Huawei) sold in any shop around France. For the rest of mobile brands, ESL Reader will work only in Orange stores, due to the fact that smartphone barcodes differ between operators.

Go to ESL Reader website to learn more and watch a presentation video on YouTube (both in French only). Warning: this app is still in experimental stage.
