Orange presents IoT Soft Box, a hardware and software kit aimed at accelerating IoT device prototyping

Orange is launching IoT Soft Box, a kit to prototype end-to-end IoT solutions from devices to cloud services. It is suitable for any developer interested in discovering IoT capabilities as well as for start-ups or international corporations looking to prototype a connected object.

Orange has been working very closely with ARM to provide a Live Objects SDK running on top of mbed OS, ARM’s open source embedded operating system for IoT. This SDK will allow developers to easily collect, store, secure and process their data as well as manage their devices.

The C SDK is based on Live Objects MQTT APIs and runs on a NXP K64F development board. A sample code and an application demo (a smart greenhouse prototype) are also made available.

See the project on GitHub and some examples.
