The OW2 2020 Conference took place last June – because of the pandemic, as virtual-only event.
For the occasion, the OW2 team worked hard to adapt RocketChat (an OW2 hosted project), making it a fantastic place to meet, watch the pre-recorded presentations, and discuss with the presenters and other attendees in real time.
While it is impossible to recreate the perfect conditions for informal meetings and discussion, the one and a half day event was a great success, both concerning the program, the quality of the presentation proposed by the speakers, and the chat possibilities provided via the online tools.
More than 50 Orange employees tuned in to follow the event, and 4 talks given by Orange collaborators:
