Orange Confort+: an Open source solution to enhance the comfort of all

Orange proudly presents Confort+: a service, that provides around twenty adjustments, to adapt web sites, to your needs. Whether you have visual impairments, or simple eyestrain, problems of word recognition, because of dyslexia, or other reasons, difficulty to use a mouse, or to setup your computer, Orange Confort+ gives you the solution: a setting to be made once, and all web sites shall take your preferences into account. Orange Confort+ is a browser extension, free to download, available for Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer 11, operating in 3 languages: French, English and Spanish. The default language is the visited site's, and can be customised. The settings offered, by the service, concern the areas

It will be presented at HITBSecConf2014 on October 15th in Malaysia. Orange is one of the founders of the IRMA project and actively contributes to the development.

  3. ATK release 2.2.0 now includes AT&T’s Application Resource Optimizer (ARO).This ongoing integration effort will help ATK users to identify more easily up to 25 mobile best practices that can improve the app’s battery consumption, data usage and overall responsiveness. AT&T ARO is an open source app from AT&T.

Thierry Souche (Senior Vice President, Orange Labs Products & Services), has said during his opening keynote for the OW2con’13 conference: “We  don’t invest in Open Source for charity, but for efficiency and  quality.   5. Within the Cassandra Summit Europe 2013 in London on Oct. 16-18, Jean Armel Luce, expert in Orange France,  presented the Cassandra usage experience in Orange as well as mod_dup (published under the Apache license), whish eases the application migration to the NoSQL technology.

  6. Tuleap has been awarded “best open source application development tools”, at the BOSSIE (Best of Open Source Software) awards 2013, by the InfoWorld magazine. Orange uses Tuleap, and contributes to its development.
